About The Conference The 2008 Louisiana Conference on Human Resources promises to be the premier HR event in Louisiana. Information-packed sessions will focus on issues, ideas, trends, challenges and opportunities that will face HR practitioners today. 1. How much does it cost to attend? - 2 day registration for a SHRM member: $330
- 2 day registration for a non-SHRM: $365
- 2 day registration for a Full-time Student: $80, includes evening reception
- 1 day registration for a SHRM member: $180
- 1 day registration for a non-SHRM member: $215
- 1 day registration for a Full-time Student: $55, includes evening reception
- Guest reception only: $25
2. What is included with the registration fee? Full registration fee includes all conference sessions plus: expo hall admission; breakfast break, lunch, afternoon beverage break on both days and evening reception on Tuesday. It does not include hotel accommodations or any other fees. Additional evening reception guest tickets are available for $25 each. Registration is for an individual and there are no company registrations. The use of a registered attendee's conference badge by another individual is strictly prohibitied. We cannot accept PO's nor can we issue invoices for registration. 3. What are the qualifcations for student pricing? The Student rate is available to someone who is currently enrolled as a full-time student or is between semesters and is not currently employed as an HR practitioner. The student rate includes the evening reception.

Business casual for all venues. 6. Can I register online? Yes. Click here to access the online registration form. 7. Where do I send payment if I choose to pay by check? All checks should be made payable to LASHRM Conference on Human Resources and sent to PO Box 8948 Mandeville LA 70470. Cancellations must be in writing and are assessed a $50 administrative fee if received prior to 4/1/08. Cancellations received after 4/1/08 are non-refundable. Registrations are transferable. 9. Where is the conference being held this year? The conference is being held at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette, Louisiana. 10. Are there room blocks at area hotels? Yes, At the Lafayette Hilton Garden Inn located accross the street, call (337) 291-1977 and at the Hampton Inn approximately 3 miles from the Convention Center, call (337) 236-6161. Please call to make reservations at the conferenece rates and reference the LASHRM State Conference when registering. 11. Do Conference sessions provide PHR/SPHR recertification credit? Sessions count hour for hour for recertification credit. For example, a session that is 1 hour and 15 minutes = 1.25 hrs of recertification credit. 12. How do I become an Exhibitor or Sponsor?
